With Kansas City serving as a Host City for matches during the 2026 FIFA World CupTM, the City is actively planning to ensure residents, businesses and visitors can navigate this event smoothly and successfully. This briefing will focus on how the community can prepare and how City departments are working to maintain essential public safety and infrastructure services during this exciting time.

The session is intended for business owners, residents, workers, and community members in Kansas City. It’s presented by the City of Kansas City, Missouri in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

Representatives from multiple City departments will share how they are preparing for increased activity and what you can expect in terms of:

  • City Operational Services
  • Emergency services coordination
  • Public safety and policing
  • Regulated industries operations related to alcohol service and short-term rentals
  • Municipal court planning and continuity
  • Public health preparedness
