Immigrant Economic and Workforce Summit II

Friday, April 25, 2025 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

Immigrants and Refugees are facing significant political challenges that impact their ability to integrate and thrive in their new home. These struggles include limited access to legal documentation, language barriers, discrimination that complicates their path to stable employment and community acceptance. Additionally, the threat of deportation and loss of resources from ally organizations further exacerbate their fear to contribute to our community. Join us for an honest discussion with elected officials from Missouri and Kansas and leaders from resettlement agencies and other organizations to better understand the complexities of our immigration systems and the needs of our newest neighbors.
