Centurions | Welcoming & Belonging: Voices of Individuals with Developmental Disabilites Support Systems

This event is open to Active & Alumni Centurions only.

The Voices of IDD Support Systems will be a morning information session and panel, featuring and providing insight into the voices of professionals and community members who work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. We are aiming for this panel to be a candid and transparent conversation. This panel will include KC professionals who work for agencies that serve IDD, and Centurions that have personal connections to IDD. 

This programming will be a combination of testimony and critical information sharing. The objective is to highlight the up-close experiences and life-style norms that come with close proximity to IDD, for example, meaningful access to education, aging & health concerns, job placement, housing, social and creative activity, communication barriers etc. We look forward to exposing the shared yet sometimes different perspectives from the professional and personal voices.
