This event is open to Active & Alumni Centurions only.
In April this year, a Cole County judge ruled that Missouri can use public funds to pay for private school scholarships. This ruling allows tax dollars to be used to fund private institutions, utilizing some education tax dollars to pay for students and families to use a scholarship to a private school. While this is one type of school choice, we will also discuss other options that Missouri families utilize, including public charter schools and public magnet schools. We invite you to join us for a lively discussion on the pros and cons of school choice in the state of MO. We will hear from a variety of voices of both sides of the issue, including school district officials and politicians, in a moderated conversation format.
