Climate Action KC (CAKC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to catalyzing cooperative climate action across the Kansas City region. CAKC facilitates collaboration among more than 100 local elected officials and regional leaders to develop and implement strategies that reduce emissions and build climate resilience. Key activities include advancing the Regional Climate Action Plan, providing support to local elected officials and City staff for implement key strategies of market transformation, supporting programs such as Building Energy Exchange KC and Plug-In KC and the Climate Action Summit, the largest such event in our area. Through regional partnerships and community engagement, CAKC works to create healthier, more sustainable communities across the metro area.
