As Kansas City’s economy and population evolve, so too must its higher education institutions. Join the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce on September 3, 2025, for a timely policy forum exploring how regional colleges and universities are adapting to meet the demands of a modern workforce, respond to demographic shifts, and navigate shifting public policy at the state and federal levels. From reimagining degree pathways to expanding access for underrepresented populations, panelists will discuss how higher education can remain a dynamic engine for inclusive economic growth.

This forward-looking discussion will bring together higher education leaders, policymakers, and economic development experts to explore strategies for aligning academic programs with high-growth industries, closing equity gaps in educational attainment, and leveraging policy tools to support institutional innovation. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the role of higher education in sustaining Kansas City’s competitiveness and creating opportunity across the region.
